Life in Limbo

So as most of you know Zach and I are not living together. Earlier this summer we were served with a restraining order forcing us to keep the kids' residence within Nueces County. This has left us living our "honeymoon" period as a commuter couple. We have invested much time (and money) making sure we see each other as often as possible. Regardless this has been a trying time on our new family.
The hardest time of day is definitely at night for me. I get the kids in bed, curl up on the couch with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, and yearn to be curled up next to my husband watching whatever is on T.V. that night, or even lying in bed reading our books. I have cried many tears asking, "Why is this happening to us?"
To be honest back in May when I found my job in Cabot, AR, and we found our house and things sort of just fell into place, I couldn't imagine that things would come crumbling around us as they have. Zach and I however have been strong for each other. Our relationship continues to grow and strengthen in spite of the distance and stress thrust upon us.
We also have been blessed with a ton of moral support from friends. Prayers are greatly appreciated. God is teaching me through all of this that I am stronger than I imagined, but only because of Him. God is leading Zach and I to turn to Him more than we would've. I pray every night that God will lead us to the end, and allow our family to live together soon. And I will continue to pray for this. I also thank him daily (multiple times a day) for Zach and his strength. It is wonderful to have a partner that stands beside me and sometimes holds me up when I feel like lying down and drowning in self pity.
I don't have many answers, but I have faith that God does and He will reveal them in His time. And when He does I have to believe that it is going to be greater than anything I could have imagined or planned myself.
Please continue to pray for our family. And for continued strength and wisdom during this trial in our lives.

A Dream Come True

My goodness, limited access to the Internet and living in "limbo" have kept me from blogging. But I will fill everyone in as best as possible...
The wedding was beyond successful!!! We had a blast and I felt like a princess. We had many people tell us how much fun they had and how beautiful it was. I have to agree. The florist we chose did an outstanding job and really caught on to the "vision" I had. Not to mention the cakes were stunning and delicious. We had friends and family come to share in our joyous day from Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, Connecticut and Pennsylvania!!! It was such a blessing to have each and everyone there.
The ceremony was beautiful with personal touches throughout. Zach's childhood violin teacher was a musician along with her friend accompanying her on the piano for the music. Zach's aunt sang a beautiful song and he Godmother read 1 Corinthians 13 during the ceremony. The best part for me was having the kids "give me away." Branden was so proud escorting his Mommy down the aisle, and they both boastfully announced "We do!" as the pastor asked who gives this woman to be married. God blessed our day making it beautiful and the wedding I'd always dreamed of since I was a little girl wearing a pillow case veil! I never could have guessed all those years ago however, that I would have been marrying my best friend. Zach is God sent and God made just for me and I for him. We believe God brought us together and now we are joined under Him.
Thank you to everyone that participated and joined us. And to all of our friends and family that weren't able to make it we appreciated all of the kind words and prayers during our special day. Thank you!

The latest

So it turns out that when you don't have constant access to the internet it makes it difficult to blog! Haha, oh well.
Since August we have gotten the kids going back in school and Taekwondo. They are very busy and keep us going full speed ahead. Zach is doing well with training, becoming qualified to fly the C-130J (without ever actually being in the air with the plane)! It's been an eventful summer and now the wedding is sneaking up on us!
Zach and I spent Labor day weekend in Douglasville. Friday we ate at the Mellow Mushroom and had Pizza with Zach's parents. Then after a lazy morning Mom and I met the guys at the golf club for lunch and then she, Zach and I ventured into Atlanta and I took my first trip ever to Ikea! It was such a cool store. I know how I plan on decorating my house and all future houses! :-) That night Zach treated me like a princess and we went on a dinner date to The Sun Dial on top of the Westin Hotel in Atlanta. It was beautiful, delicious, and the company couldn't be beaten!!! On Sunday we enjoyed a Fulton Family reunion! Nothing like your first trip somewhere to meet so many extended family members... But I can honestly say besides the family Zach is marrying into ;), I couldn't be getting a better family! They were so nice to include a shower for Zach and I during our reunion.
During the trip I also learned how to play Pinochle! It was a great trip!
Now we are in the final preperation stages for the wedding, and definitely in countdown mode. This weekend my dear friend Monica is hosting a bridal shower for me in Corpus and in about two weeks I will head up to Cabot to spend the week before the wedding to get everything done.
Whew! I feel like I have given a lot of information, but hey it's been a while since I've blogged :D.

Invitations

Zach Fulton must be the best man on the planet...
While the kids and I are stuck in South Texas, he printed, stuffed, and mailed the wedding invitations and RSVP cards!!! I am such a lucky girl. :) However, as with all things that pertain to Murphy's Law a little humor must find it's way into our lives...

I am sitting at my parents home when my Aunt calls to let me in on some info. She and her husband received not one... not two... but THREE wedding invitations. Turns out the list invitation label list was cut and pasted so many times for the "Save the Date" cards a handful of people will be receiving multiple invites to our wedding! LOL!!!

With everything that is going on, we needed a good laugh!

Wedding planning update

While I am not in Cabot, AR with my wonderful Zach, we still are very much in the middle of wedding planning. We wanted to update everyone that we are currently registered at Macy's and Kohl's, as soon as possible we will also be registering at Lowe's.

We also have a block of rooms set aside at the Hampton Inn and Suites-Downtown Little Rock. This site will get you the number to call, it is under the Fulton-Cooper wedding on October 10, 2009.

Want to make sure the information is out there so we know we have lots of out of town guests coming.

Prayer Request

Without going into too much detail I would like to ask for prayers of strength for our family. This week will be a very trying time. We are going to be dealing with a lot this week. We trust that God will protect our family, specifically I am asking for God's protection over our children's mental well-being and mental strength. Also that God would allow us to find forgiveness for unnecessary persecution. God is faithful and will bring us through this, but extra prayers never hurt ;). Thank you to all. If you would like details feel free to email, I just don't feel comfortable making it public view.

Great visit

Earlier this week Zach's mom came from Georgia to visit us and our new home. It was a wonderful time visiting and really getting to know each other. While she was here we settled on a rehearsal dinner site and also found the hotel in which we are having rooms blocked for our guests. The Hampton Inn and Suites in Downtown Little Rock. They are absolutely gorgeous and at a great rate!!!

We will be sending with the formal invitations (which I need to get started on) the number and directions to the hotel as well as a list of great things to do in the area. As of right now the ceremony will be at 4pm in Cabot at the church Zach and I have found. The reception is at the Albert Pike Hotel in Little Rock from 6pm-9pm. Knowing there is lots of free time I want our guests to be able to experience some of the amazing things this area has to offer. I know Zach and I have been highly impressed with the vast array of things to do.

Also, if you read this, please lift Zach and I and our children... and even my parents and sisters, up in prayer. Without going into to too much detail we have had an unfortunate surprise head our way. It is something we will overcome and prevail, but it is just unnecessary stress for our family. I know God will give us strength and we will be closer for it, please just pray that life can return to normal as soon as possible.

Here is our home in Cabot, AR!!!

It's official....

It's official, We... Are... Homeowners!!!! (or Home"owers" as Zach calls it). We signed all of the official documents today at the Title company. We are so blessed to have everything falling into place (as cliche as it sounds). Pictures of the home will soon follow. Right now there are vines along the house that will be gone within the next day or so, so tonight I will take "before" pics, and once we get the yard under control we will post "after" pictures.

Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and words of support and encouragment. We are truly blessed!

Getting into shape...

As I tried on my swimsuit from last year it became very apparent that I had put on a few pounds. It also was brought to Zach's attention that he too had been eating "a little too well." While this is props to my cooking abilities, neither of us want be less then gorgeous/handsome on October 10.

So yesterday we started a full on battle of the bulge. We started by calculating how many calories to eat, journaling our food/calories, and even went on a brisk evening walk around our new neighborhood. This morning I woke up early with Zach to jog around the neighborhood only to be completely annoyed at how much I hate running, and even more annoyed by how much I am out of shape! Luckily I have some great friends who are fans of fitness and have encouraged me and pointed me in the right direction.

This afternoon Zach is heading to the gym, and after dinner we will be again strolling around the block! I am excited about getting healthier. It will also be great when the kids get up here because they will love riding their bikes in the evening after dinner.
